We look forward to welcoming
you to the 2007 Annual Conference (again held jointly with our URC
colleagues). This year we are moving out
of London, to Cardiff and look forward to a
welcome from City URC Church. City Church is an open and affirming church
and we heard its minister Tom Arthur lead an excellent annual meeting in
2004. The Conference should be very
valuable and we trust there will be a good Baptist attendance again.
AGM 2008 in Blackpool?
Our 2007 AGM will be held as
part of the Annual Conference. We had
hoped to have a meeting in the North of England this year. We had received some interest and initial
plans were made to meet in Manchester. This didn't come to fruition (as my time to
chase venues ran out), but the possibility arose for us to hold our 2008 AGM at
the Baptist Assembly, which will be at Blackpool over the May Bank Holiday
weekend. We await confirmation from the
Assembly organising committee.
Committee
The Committee has started to
meet more regularly and has widened its membership as suggested at the last
AGM, so that other members have attended.
This is one of a number of ideas to allow the network to grow according
to the wishes and skills of members (see also page 4).
